Mindful Breastfeeding Support
It’s common for breastfeeding to be a struggle.
With support your breastfeeding experience could blossom.
You’re a new mum!
(Or soon will be…)
You took the antenatal classes, read the birthing books – but it all concentrated on the birth and not nearly enough on the phase after.
You might be unsure about how you will feed your baby. Is breastfeeding the right choice? Should you supplement with other methods of nutritional intake? How can you make it work for you, your baby and your family?
Or you might have decided – ‘Yes! I want to breastfeed my baby.’ But now it’s a struggle and feels overwhelming.
You’re not alone. These are common feelings and questions. That’s why I’m here to support you.

Bespoke support
I offer bespoke antenatal and postnatal breastfeeding support in the comfort of your own home in the West Sussex area or online across the country.
Primarily, I provide support for individuals. But group sessions are available for 2-4 people, if several people inquire around the same time or a group of friends wishing to do it together.

What is Mindful Breastfeeding?
Mindful Breastfeeding is the creation of Anna LeGrange who is an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). Her ethos is:
‘Mindful Breastfeeding is an approach to lactation support and education that prioritises emotional wellbeing and infant-parent relationships.
Having a calm body and mind helps breastfeeding to be more comfortable and milk to flow. It helps babies to relax and parents to be more responsive – creating a more connected and fulfilling parenting experience.’
During your sessions, I’ll teach you about the role that the mind and body both play in breastfeeding and how putting them together aids connection with yourself and your baby.
You’ll learn:
- How breastfeeding works
- Common problems you may encounter; and
- How you can solve these with knowledge and mindful tools.
About me
Hi I’m Anna, a trained Mindful Breastfeeding practitioner and qualified NHS Children’s Nurse.
I trained with Anna Le Grange (IBCLC) from the Mindful Breastfeeding School whose ethos is to support and enhance the breastfeeding journey for mother’s and their families through mindfulness tools to be calm and relaxed.
I breastfed both of my children and had very different experiences, mostly positive, but looking back now I wish I had more support particularly for my first born.

Testimonials
“Anna’s calm personality was contagious and whilst I had been anxious about the emotions discussing breastfeeding might bring up, I felt relaxed and supported throughout the session. The relaxation at the end was bliss, and a wonderful way to connect with my emotions, akin to Savasana at the end of a yoga session.”
— Danielle, Margot’s mum
“I can’t recommend Anna at The Blossom Tree enough — she is a baby whisperer. My baby was born 6 weeks premature. He has struggled with colic and reflux and hates being put down, so for the first 15 weeks it felt like he was constantly suffering. Watching your baby struggle when you can’t make it better is incredibly hard. I had tried everything I could find online and was starting to lose hope. From the moment I started working with Anna, she made me feel completely at ease. She is so down to earth, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Working with Anna has made such a difference to both me and my baby. The support, expertise, and value she provides are exceptional, and I’m so grateful to her.”
— Alice, Ruairi’s mum
“Anna was amazing to work with. I came away from each session feeling so much more knowledgeable and confident about breastfeeding. The midwives even commented on how good my baby’s latch was – all thanks to Anna! I felt calm and supported in every session, knowing I could ask anything. Even after my baby was born, Anna regularly checked in. I’m so lucky to have found her and would highly recommend her to other mums.”
— Ella, Bernie’s mum
“Anna was incredible! I was struggling with painful breastfeeding, but Anna quickly identified what was behind my difficulties and her support was a game-changer for me. She was also a lovely person to chat with. I felt listened to and greatly encouraged.”
— Jubilee, Abigail’s mum
“I wish I had seen Anna sooner! My son was 4 weeks old and feeding was still quite painful and I felt like I was having to work really hard to get him to latch. He kept popping on and off and I was having to hold my breast tissue into his mouth. She came to our house, watched me feed, confirmed he had a shallow latch, and gave me some crucial tips about feeding him which really helped. She then suggested I go to cranial osteopathy, which I hadn’t even thought of, to release his jaw (which worked!). Anna’s passion shines through. She was so keen to help me get breastfeeding established and gave me tonnes of helpful resources after our initial meeting. She was also keen to know how it was going afterwards in case she could support further. I’m so grateful for her help! Thank you Anna 🙏.”
— Zoe, Felix’s mum
“I was hugely grateful for Anna’s time and expertise. Despite being a third time mum I really needed the reassurance and advice to get Jasper feeding in a more comfortable way. I’m now 10 weeks in and he has doubled in size so it’s working. Anna was a huge comfort.”
— Bec, Jasper’s mum
